Wet material, dry material
LED or progress bar display, moisture meters with pins, that are calibrated for wood, allow direct reading of measurements.
- <18% (Green zone) : The material is dry, rot or deterioration related to humidity doesn't occur.
- 18% - 20% (Yellow zone) : The material is in the limit state, rot and deterioration may occur in certain conditions.
- > 20% (Red zone) : The material is wet, rot and deterioration will occur unless the moisture level of the material is reduced.
For non conductive material other than wood, measurements are in %WME (wood moisture equivalent).
