Wet material or dry material?
Excess moisture is a relative conceptThe display of water content on a portable moisture meter doesn't tell the material is dry or damp as the hedge above which there is excess moisture depends on the measured material and the application.
Dry, limit or wetLED or progress bar display, some moisture meters for building materials allow direct interpretation of moisture measurements.
<18%/Green zone/DryThe material is dry, rot or deterioration related to humidity doesn't occur.
18% - 20%/Yellow zone/At riskThe material is in the limit state, rot and deterioration may occur in certain conditions.
> 20%/Red zone/WetThe material is wet, rot and deterioration will occur unless the moisture level of the material is reduced.
The above critical moisture contents correspond to wood moisture contents (on dry weight).
With its hammer probe or special probes, this moisture meter allows to measure water content of round wood, split logs, wood chips, sawdust, pellets, hay, straw and cellulose bales.
Four-in-one system: two-pin-contact moisture meter, in depth radiofrequency moisture detector, infrared thermometer, fast responding thermo-hygrometer.
- intuitive user interface with color screen,
- data logging,
- firmware upgradable,
- psychometric calculations,
- non-contact IR temperature probe with laser pointer.
