Capacitive humidity sensorThis kind of sensor measures relative humidity thanks to a capacitive humidity detector which electrical capacity varies with relative humidity (%RH).
Resistive humidity sensorThe variation of electrical resistance allows to measure relative humidity rate (%RH). The Hygrostick is a resistive humidity probe that doesn’t only measure humidity, but also the Equilibrium Relative Humidity of materials whatever their composition. This humidity probe can be inserted in a humidity box or humidity sleeve, thus creating a sealed air pocket on the surface of a substrate (slab, screed, wall…). They are used together with the Humitest MMS or Hygro L thermo-hygrometers for non destructive measurements.
Air temperatureThe thermistors are sensors that measure temperature from the resistance variation. The Hygrostick humidity probes measures ambient temperature with this method.
Surface temperatureThe surface non-contact infrared temperature probe allows to diagnose condensation accurately thanks to a laser pointer. There are other surface temperature probes that require direct contact with the measured surface.
Infrared or contact, measuring surface temperature with the Humitest Hygro L Plus (30-100) or Humitest MMS allows the display of the proximity to dewpoint.
